We started remodeling in 2020. Working from home & kids still in school, we made it a whole-home journey. A classic Highland bungalow with a front entry opening into a beautiful light-filled space that is modern and eclectic. We’ve had the same trusted builder throughout, and knew we’d get a great finished result. We approached everything with intention, conscious about how we’d live in this home for years.

The Highland Park owners of a 1949 Bungalow teamed up with a trusted builder for a decade-long renovation journey. They added a primary suite upstairs, expanded the main level bath, and culminated with an architect-led two-story rear addition incorporating a kitchen, mudroom, and office. This light-filled, modern and eclectic mix of new and old exemplifies the art of construction over time and adapting a home to evolving family needs.
